Piraat Tripel Hop is a light amber colored top-fermented beer with secondary fermentation in the bottle and in the barrel. The taste is distinctly hoppy and has a dry aftertaste. 4 extra hop varieties are added to the classic Pirate and the selection of these changes every year depending on the availability of the hop varieties. The addition takes place during 3 different phases, 1 of which is by means of dry-hopping, where the hops (cascade) are added in the lager tank during maturation.
